Flying among stars

When we talk about stars we usually think that, in order to enjoy them, we have to lie down in the mountains on a summer night. But after spending long nights looking up at the sky from our airplanes, we have realized that the stars we have on earth are as much or even more enjoyable as the ones we are used to seeing in the sky.

But if stars are what you are after, it is practically a “must” to discover and taste the world-renowned restaurants Akelarre, Martin Berasategui, Arzak and Azurmendi, each of them awarded with three Michelin stars, as well as staying at the Maria Cristina Luxury Collection, a 5-star hotel and home of the renowned San Sebastian Film Festival. Famous actors such as Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington or Danny de Vito and directors like Woody Allen, and Almodovar have all stayed here.

The festival, one of the most important in the world and the only one in Spain with an A category accreditation by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, will be held this year between September 17 and 25. During these days it will be possible to take part in the screening of films such as One Second, by Chinese director Zhang Yimou, winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Cannes International Film Festival, or the handing over of the Donostia Award to the well-known American actor Johnny Depp.
